Our vision is to provide a place for young female athletes to have fun, develop fastball skills, and learn teamwork, sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect. Calgary Adrenaline endeavours to create a positive environment that encourages our athletes to work hard and to be the best person they can be with all the life lessons that competitive fastball can provide.
We as an organization pride ourselves on the quality and levels of NCCP certified coaches.
A successful season for our youngest athletes finishing strong in their division with a silver in Provincials, placing second in GPLS and third in Calgary Minor Softball Association. Our 2018 U12 team was comprised mostly of first year players, and we foresee an even stronger second year for this team during 2019.
The team fought hard in extra innings at the Alberta A provincial semi-final game, bringing home a bronze medal. With travels to Kelowna and White Rock BC, Spokane, and all over Alberta, the girls found success and had fun both on and off the field.
This first-year U16 team experienced a whole new world of ball this season, competing against collegiate and top Alberta ladies in the Calgary Womens Fastball League. They also participated in their first International Canada Cup event that hosts teams from all over the world.
The Adrenaline 2000 team had a very successful final season, finishing with 40 wins, 27 losses and 1 tie on the year. The team competed in 6 tournaments, with stops in Los Angeles, Kelowna, Stony Plain, Calgary, Great Falls and Surrey. The team competed very hard in the Alberta Provincial Championship, capturing the Silver Medal and qualifying for the U19 Canadian Women’s Championship in Surrey, BC. Again the girls played very well at Nationals, against some very tough competition, finishing the tournament with 3 wins and 5 losses.
The Coaching Staff are extremely proud of this team, who now move on to the next chapter of their lives. They have represented Calgary Adrenaline extremely well over their softball careers, notching 2 Provincial gold medals, 1 silver and 1 bronze, along with an organizational best, 5th place finish at the Canadian Softball Championships in 2016. We look forward to staying in touch and monitoring the future successes of these exceptional young ladies.
During the 2018 spring season this team found success playing locally in the Calgary Women's Fastball association (CWFA) and in their travels to Kelowna, Vancouver, Helena and Spokane.
In 2017 my daughter joined the U12 Adrenaline softball team after playing community ball for the past few years. Adrenaline was amazing. Not only did she receive technical training related to pitching, fielding and batting, she also learned about strategy, mental and physical preparation, being a contributing member of a team and the true meaning of being a competitor.
We assumed, by entering a full-time, elite softball program, our daughter would gain greater confidence and skill. What we were most pleased with was the sense of belonging she developed, both with her team and the Adrenaline community.
